Trending Seafood Dishes at Local Restaurants


If you have a taste for fresh, local seafood, there are a number of restaurants in Dana Point that you can choose from. There are some popular dishes that are getting more popular as time goes on, so make sure the next time you are out at a Dana Point restaurant you order one of the following:

Shrimp Dishes

Most seafood restaurants have shrimp dishes available, but the newest trend is to take the plain shrimp that we find at most restaurants and serve them with a cultural twist. For instance, West Coast restaurants may serve shrimp dishes that focus on the tastes of the Deep South instead of those that patrons may be used to.

Seafood with a Twist

Local chefs are also thinking of new ways to serve traditional dishes. Most everyone who comes to a seafood restaurant will want to eat fish, but most of the dishes are the same: a cut of fish, two sides and perhaps a salad. These days, however, chefs are getting more adventurous with their dishes such as serving fish burgers.

You also may find that local restaurants are starting to serve fish that you may not commonly see on the menu. For instance, many restaurants are starting to offer more dishes made with cod or importing fresh seafood from far away locales such as Australia and New Zealand.
